  • GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude) for detecting nearby Points of Interest (POI)

  • Geofencing data for automatic audio tour triggering

  • Location data is processed locally on your device and only used for app functionality

  • Location coordinates are sent to third-party APIs (see Section 4)

2.2 Crash and Performance Data

  • Firebase Crashlytics collects crash logs, device information, and app performance metrics

  • This helps us identify and fix bugs

  • Data includes: device model, OS version, app version, crash stack traces

  • Retention: 90 days

2.3 Usage Data

  • POI visit history (stored locally on device)

  • Audio playback history (stored locally on device)

  • Language preferences (stored locally on device)

2.4 Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect your name, email, or any personal identifiers

  • We do not track your identity

  • We do not share location data with third parties for marketing

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Location data: To detect nearby POI and trigger audio tours

  • Crash logs: To improve app stability and fix bugs

  • Local usage history: To enhance your experience (e.g., avoid duplicate POI announcements)

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 OpenAI API

  • We send location coordinates and POI names to OpenAI for:

    • Generating audio tour narrations (Text-to-Speech)

    • Creating POI descriptions

  • OpenAI processes this data according to their Privacy Policy

  • Your location is only used for content generation, not stored by OpenAI

4.2 Overpass API (OpenStreetMap)

  • We query POI data (landmarks, monuments, etc.) based on your location

  • Overpass API does not store your personal data

  • Data is public OpenStreetMap data

4.3 Firebase (Google)

  • Crashlytics: Crash reporting and performance monitoring

  • App Distribution: Beta testing (if you're a beta tester)

  • Firebase services comply with Google's Privacy Policy

5. Data Storage and Security

  • Local storage: Most data (visit history, preferences) is stored only on your device

  • Cloud storage: Crash logs are stored on Firebase servers (EU region when possible)

  • Encryption: Data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption

  • No user accounts: We do not require registration, so we don't store login credentials

6. Your Rights (GDPR) If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of data we hold about you

  • Deletion: Request deletion of crash logs (contact us at support@aitourmate.eu)

  • Opt-out: Disable crash reporting in the app settings

  • Portability: Export your local data (visit history) from the app

  • Objection: Stop using location services (app will not function)

7. Children's Privacy AI Tourmate does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately.

8. Data Retention

  • Crash logs: 90 days on Firebase servers

  • Local data: Until you uninstall the app or clear app data
